About Our Program
The Day Program located in Mt. Carmel, OH is open Monday-Friday 9 AM- 3 PM. Drop in whenever you’d like and stay as long as you want! We are open on almost all holidays but choose to close for 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years and a few other holidays as needed. Our friends love coming to program so much that they don’t want to stay home! This also allows some of our friends that attend other day programs to drop in when their usual program is closed for their winter breaks and other smaller holidays.
We can provide transportation to and from our program if you live in the Anderson area and attend a full day. Many of our friends also use other transportation companies to get to us. We have friends from all over! We can help make sure you get here.
Our program has two teams: A and B. We also have a separate contract with Southwest Ohio Developmental Center (SODC) to provide a program in our building for some of our friends who have more intense behavioral needs. Our friends hang out with groups based on their interests and abilities. This ensures everyone can participate in activities and outings that they truly enjoy. We give our friends the choice in how they spend their day making them the director of their services.
What We Like to Do
Our friends love being out in the community. We take every chance we can to get out and have fun at places like the zoo, the Cincinnati Museum center, and Krohn’s Conservatory. Team B loves to hike and be outdoors while one of Team A’s favorite outings in the community is playing the slots and watching the races at the casino!
It isn’t only exciting when we’re out in the community; our building has lots of opportunities, as well! Our friends enjoy cooking, crafts, sensory activities, learning sign language, exercising, and having good conversation. Whatever their heart desires, they can do here at Angels.
Can I take a tour?
Absolutely! We’d love to show you what we’re all about here. You can call (513) 474-5683 or click the button to schedule a tour at your convenience to automatically add it to our calendar!
If you find our program is a good fit, we can help you with registration and contacting your SSA to revise the plan. We accept all DODD Waiver participants, as well as, private pay for our day program friends!
In memory of Mr. Brian Harper and in lieu of flowers, his family requested to establish a memorial fund to help with community outings for the day program. Brian loved to go out in the community whenever he had the chance. His most favorite outings included anything having to do with the Cincinnati Bengals or Cincinnati Reds! He attended many games, training camps and loved to see the Reds Hall of Fame and museum. Brian would have wanted all of his friends to be able to experience outings so this is a perfect way to pay our respects to our B man! You may donate by clicking the button below or you can read more and donate at Brian’s Memorial Fund Page.
